WHAT HAPPENED:

I decided to arrange a vacation to the Bahamas. Because I had accumulated a lot of travel points on my credit card, I decided to book the vacation with Aeroplan, the division of Air Canada that administers their points program. After arranging the schedule for the 3 hour flight between Montreal and the Bahamas, all the related reservation information (car rental, hotel accommodations, babysitting service, work replacement schedules here at home for myself and my husband, etc) everything seemed to be in place.  I then got a phone call from Air Canada advising that there was a schedule change that would now entail a connecting overnight flight in Toronto - a 3 hour flight would now become a 2 day affair. They offered to refund the points they had taken out of my account if I would send the tickets back.  I did this and even though they confirmed receiving the tickets back, they never put the points back in my account.  AND they charged my credit card a $150 fee for refunding the points which had never been refunded!! I have also been penalized for having to cancel the other reservations I made in connection with this trip. (more money lost) When I have tried to call Aeroplan, it has been impossible to get through to a human - not even lame hold music or "your call is important to us, please hold on".  Just a BUSY SIGNAL.  Do they have 2 employees there?  I guess there's no money left to go around when the CEO makes $1.7million a year. It's no wonder their stock is practically trading in penny stock range. I can't wait to see the  service of their new "discount" airline Tango.

WHAT I WANT:

I want everyone else who has been mistreated by Air Canada to come forward and complain! That's the only way to make them realize they are treating their customers like garbage.
